Aerial Lineman/Thermographer

CBH Aviation. lineworkers engage in comprehensive power line inspections, work from helicopter platform, work on transmission towers, and operate IR camera gimbal or LiDAR equipment. Likely candidates will be able to work a continuous travel-based rotation schedule, have Thermography Certification, ability to adapt to precarious places and extreme cold, and previous transmission experience.

Field Data Collector

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking to fill a team of Field Data Collectors for deployment throughout the country. Our home office is in Chesapeake, VA. The Field Data Collector collects viable data in a timely fashion to meet acquisition deadlines. Ability to work on the road up to three weeks at a time is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate helicopter based data collection equipment.
  • Collect GPS and related data.
  • Operate GPS equipment according to specifications.
  • Perform basic data collection duties, such as setting up tripods, completing log sheets, transfer and backup of collected data, and maintaining proper security of data.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Ship and disseminate data in a timely fashion.
  • Track information, as necessary. Prepare and submit logs, reports, credit card receipts, expense reports, and other materials, as required.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in compliance with company policies.
  • Other duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position requires a significant amount of travel.
  • The work is done from helicopters, during all seasons. The ability to adapt to different weather conditions is required. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
  • Must meet height and weight requirements based on the helicopter’s limits.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Turbine transitions a plus.
  • Part time position with possibility of transitioning to full time. Preferably based near Chesapeake, VA.

Mechanic - Helicopter Application

Requirements:

Qualifications required at hire:
  • Must possess a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights, if required.
  • Skilled in aircraft maintenance of MD500 E, Bell 206 B3, and Robinson R44 helicopters and Cessna 182RG airplane.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team to provide the highest level of safety.
  • Abilities in the following: welding, sheet metal, aircraft painting, aircraft electrical, basic avionics repair, and engine knowledge.
  • Ability to frequently stoop, bend, crawl, kneel, work from ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Positive, upbeat personality and a willingness to work within the guidelines of the company.
  • Follow direction and work harmoniously in a highly-paced, structured environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain aircraft fleet according to FAA regulations and manufacturer requirements.
  • Perform routine airworthiness inspections of aircraft: pre-flight; service; clean and maintain aircraft in flight ready condition; and post-flight.
  • Change time-life components on airframes and engines; disassemble, repair and reassemble engine and airframe components; repair and replace defective parts.
  • Maintain the computerized maintenance tracking programs; check the Avantext Airworthiness Directive for Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Notice of Parts reporting malfunction.
  • Perform daily, monthly, annually, bi-annually inspections.
  • Maintains hangar maintenance shop and clean-up of work station; maintains tools and support items.
  • Maintains master vehicle fleet log and vehicle fleet maintenance.
